THEATRE FIESTA
Theatre Fiesta is a vibrant culmination of our students’ journey in speech and drama—where learning transforms into performance and confidence takes centre stage. This annual showcase brings together young performers who have spent months exploring voice, movement, expression, and storytelling, presenting their work in a professional theatre setting.
The event features a dynamic range of performances, including scripted plays, character pieces, ensemble acts, and creative interpretations. Each act reflects not only the students’ artistic growth but also their ability to collaborate, communicate, and connect with an audience. From powerful dialogues to expressive stagecraft, every moment is a testament to their dedication and discipline.
More than just a performance, Theatre Fiesta is an immersive experience that nurtures self-belief, stage presence, and creativity. It provides students with the opportunity to step into the spotlight, embrace challenges, and celebrate their progress in a supportive and inspiring environment.
For parents and audiences, it is a proud and memorable occasion—to witness young voices finding expression, confidence turning into performance, and learning coming alive on stage.
LET’S ACT – Youth Theatre Drama Festival
The masters in drama gave the youth a platform to showcase their acting skills in Mumbai.
Peter Slade said that ‘education is concerned with individuals, drama is concerned with the individuality of individuals, the uniqueness of each human essence.’
Helen O’Grady International believes that Drama is one of the most important assets to learn in our lives. Drama as an art contributes to the development of an understanding of the physical, emotional, intellectual, aesthetic, social, moral and spiritual dimensions of human experience. If our nation is to continue to meet the challenges of the future, we need to develop creative and empathetic leaders.
In our endeavour to promote creativity and give a platform to the youth, we organised in Mumbai a theatre festival called “Let’s Act” in December 2012.
The response was excellent with 22 teams participating in the event. The final three teams went to perform at NCPA in Thespo.
DaanUtsav – Joy of Giving Festival
Helen O’ Grady International franchisees across India are involved wholeheartedly in various activities as a part of India’s DaanUtsav (Joy of Giving festival), which is celebrated every year in October. HOGI’s association with DaanUtsav began in 2013 and we haven’t looked back since. The activity “Seva Sandwich”, which involves making sandwiches and distributing them among those less fortunate, is one of many volunteering activities in which HOGI participates.
Besides such activities, HOGI organises events such as Flash Mobs to attract large crowds. Volunteers then spread the message of ‘giving’ among the people who gather, in the form of pamphlets and word of mouth. Banners reading the same message are put up in the background. School children, teachers, parents, and grandparents participate with ample enthusiasm.
In 2016, HOGI organised a performance of their popular rendition of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” at Bhaidas auditorium, Mumbai, to promote DaanUtsav.
